Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Policy

Effective for All Contracts Over $10,000

 Cafe Iman West, LLC dba CIWLEARNING is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable environment in all of its business operations and contract engagements. 

1. Equal Employment Commitment

 

In performing contracts, CIWLEARNING agrees to the following:

a. Non-Discrimination
CIWLEARNING does not discriminate against any employee, contractor, or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected status. Any exceptions must be based on a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) necessary to the operation of the business.

b. Equal Opportunity Statement
CIWLEARNING includes clear language in employment advertisements and solicitations that affirms its commitment to equal opportunity employment.

c. Sexual Harassment Policy Compliance
While CIWLEARNING currently operates as a single-member organization, should the company expand to employ more than five employees, it will:
   • Provide annual sexual harassment prevention training to all employees and supervisors.
   • Post its sexual harassment policy in a visible location and within the employee handbook.

d. Contract Integrity
These anti-discrimination provisions are considered material terms of all contracts. Violations may result in termination of the agreement or disqualification from future engagements, depending on the applicable jurisdiction.

e. Broader Non-Discrimination Assurance
In alignment with applicable executive orders and human rights statutes, CIWLEARNING affirms that it prohibits discrimination in employment practices, subcontracting, and service delivery based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or political affiliation.

2. Subcontractor Obligations

 CIWLEARNING will include these nondiscrimination provisions in all subcontracts and purchase orders exceeding $10,000 to ensure all partners are bound by the same equal opportunity principles.
